Thelma
Member judged to have done the silliest thing in the past season (no list) |
Many years ago, long-time club member Thelma Silverwood thwacked a red ball so hard it disappeared into the bushes and couldn't be found, despite best efforts. Thought lost forever, it was a surprise to find it years later after a flood, albeit with time and conditions now turning it into a pink ball! And while a list of 'winners' is not kept, that weathered ball is now awarded every prizegiving to the club member judged to have done the silliest thing in the past season.
